Totally Not Photography Related

I sing. Not as often as I used to, but enough not to forget how to hold a note. A product of a father who sings, plays the base and guitar and a mother who also sings, I guess I really didn't have much of a choice. Had I had it though, I still would have chosen music.

In simple terms, I love it. Through music I discovered early on what it felt to have passion for something. For creating something.

Last week, my pastor asked me if I could prepare a song to sing next Sunday. I agreed. And today, I've spent all morning trying to rehearse and learn the lyrics while cleaning. And the lysics? Well they're just NOT sticking. Like at all. You know when you say or play something over and over and after a while it doesn't make sense any more and it even starts to sound kinda funny and cartoonish? Well that's this song right now. I've played it ALL day on my little white play only when I'm cleaning and cooking boombox that skips when I turn the volume up too loud and I swear if I hear that guitar rift one more time! Ughhh. It's my own fault though for choosing a song from Lilly Goodman, only one of the best 8 octive note reaching stinking best singers ever in the hispanic Christian community. Yes I blame that. Or, maybe I'm just loosing my mojo. Anyway, I warned you this was totally not photography related.

In other news, I'm excited to be shooting a San Diego wedding tomorrow and sharing those images next week. Until then, I'm off to continue rehearsing and hopefully make it through this Sunday. Here. I. go...
