Nation-aal Baybeee!

I read a status update on my Facebook newsfeed yesterday. And it made me grin. Like an ear to ear with nose pointed in the air denoting a slight hint of pride grin. Just a slight.  The update came all the way from Texas and it read "Woohoo...The weather man calls for sunny days for the next 10 days...No Rain in sight.."

So what's the big deal? It was written by a bride updating her friends on the weather for her wedding day. She's getting married. Next week. In Texas. AND I GET TO SHOOT HER WEDDING! Wait, what was that? Oh, you didn't hear me? I'm shooting a wedding! IN TEXAS! As in, NOT in California. Where. I. LIVE! YAY!!!

For a photographer still in her infancy stages this is a HUGE DEAL! Of the massively colossal type. It's like a rare supernatural phenomena. Like a newborn baby feeding itself and changing it's own soiled diapers. Ok maybe not like that but still, it's awesome! To me anyway.

Seriously though, this little business of mine has taken on a life of it's own in such an unbelievably short amount of time, it amazes me. I have God, Mario and the love and support of my family and friends to thank for that. I feel truly and deeply blessed and I'm anxious to see what the future holds. But before the future, you can find me melting in the humid Texas heat next week with my camera in hand and a grin on my face. Loving every minute of it!
